As we approach the end of the year, we’ve reflected back on our favorite moments from 2022 and all of the incredible memories we created along the way. From kicking off the year with the official launch of our ISI Galvanizing Plant all the way to celebrating the first anniversary of our retail hub, K Mall Veng Sreng, take a glimpse at our journey this year through the snapshots below.

ISI GROUP CEO, Mr. Kang Leng, announces the official opening of ISI Galvanizing Plant in January. As Cambodia’s first galvanized steel producer, our facility is taking the Kingdom’s steel processing capabilities to a new level and allowing us to bring more integrated solutions to the local market.

Did you catch Key in Love at K Mall in February? Supporting local culture and creating spaces for people to come together, Urbanland’s K Mall collaborated with the rising local singer-songwriter to bring a pop-up performance into the Veng Sreng area. With many more fun events hosted at our community mall over 2022, we’re excited to continue seeing local art and culture thrive.

‍

Continuing our One Million Trees program to help improve our ecosystem, we planted over 300 saplings of endangered beng trees (Afzelia xylocarpa), a species native to Southeast Asia. Over the course of 2022, our program would go on to plant more than 25,000 trees across 10 provinces.

Launched in February on Otres Beach, BROWN Seaview marked their first Sihanoukville location as the pioneering local café continues to create inspirational, creative spaces across the country. Delivering on their goal to bring their uplifting, motivating café experiences to more people, BROWN has opened a total of six new cafés in 2022.

We love seeing upcoming experts grow into local industry leaders, so it’s no surprise that one of our favorite moments from May was when ISI STEEL hosted 60+ architecture and engineering students to tour their facility and share expert knowledge with the budding professionals.

Soundskool’s talented students struck a chord with us while performing on stage during Soundskool Day in June. It was inspiring to see people come together to celebrate young music talent and the impacts that professional music education can have.

Did you pop into Urbanland’s Chankiri Pop-Up at K Mall back in July?

‍

Designed to meet people’s actual needs, Borey Chankiri’s pop-up event brought their award-winning home experience directly to you at key locations across Phnom Penh. With nature in every corner and a space to gather with family and friends, the pop-up's thoughtful concept brought a clear image of the dream home where a multi-generational family can live and grow together.

Girls got goals! Captured here is a group of young footballers winning a trophy at our ISI Community Cup, an event celebrating the soft opening of our newly renovated AIA Stadium, KMH Park and inaugurating the ISI Community Day program. Since then, boys and girls aged 6-14 years have joined us at the stadium every Saturday to play football with free guidance from ISI Dangkor Senchey FC coaches. We look forward to seeing more young talent step onto the football field to hone their skills and learn the positive values sports offer.

A master at combining innovative, quality products with inspirational, creative spaces, BROWN Coffee and Bakery's location opened in September was designed following the concept of the aroma of coffee and features an art installation by one of Cambodia’s most celebrated artists, Sothea Thang. Located at Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall, the new store marked another step forward in BROWN's journey to bring their inspiring café spaces to more people.

ISI Dangkor Senchey FC succeeded in Cambodian League 2 this year, which earned them a spot in Cambodian Premier League – Cambodia’s highest level of professional football. We can’t wait to see them compete at the next level starting in August 2023 and continue to drive grassroots and professional sports in our communities.

Bold and blue, the all-new ISI PALM LOK Hi-Strength 980 is seen here on display at the ISI PALM New Product Launch in November. The first of its kind in Cambodia, the new roofing system offers greater protection using a tried and tested design and application process to provide longer-lasting, healthier environments while reducing long-term costs for building owners.

The innovation didn’t end there. ISI STEEL also unveiled ISI PALM WALL 914 and ISI PALM CAP 980 PU, two high-quality steel building solutions.

K Mall turns one! To celebrate this milestone and the year-end festivities, K Mall was lit up with vibrant lighting and decorations at our community mall’s open plaza to give visitors a spectacular experience. Mall-goers also got to join the celebration by taking part in a lucky draw games for a chance to win wonderful prizes.

2022 has been another fantastic year for us as we saw our group and communities come together to create and build a better living for all. We are thankful to everyone for taking part in our journey and wish everyone a spectacular 2023.
