Revitalizing Rural Schooling

Inadequate educational infrastructure impacts access to quality education and can affect students’ motivation to continue pursuing an education. Helping under-resourced communities, ISI GROUP is proud to continue our mission to rebuild one school per year and create more learning opportunities in rural areas.

On 26th August, through our KMH Foundation, we equipped the Prasat Primary School in rural Oddar Meanchey with two new school buildings, one mini library and essential learning materials. Committed to helping create a brighter future for rural communities, we offer new school facilities and provide resources that can help empower more kids to not just go to school, but also stay in school.

“Revitalizing education in rural areas is a crucial part of ISI GROUP's mission to care for the Cambodian community. Our ‘School Rebuild’ program bridges the educational gap between rural and urban settings, giving disadvantaged students better access to an improved learning environment. We believe that our collective efforts are helping to create better local education and a brighter future for students,” said Dr. Phirom Leng, KMH Foundation Operations Director.

Driven to support communities in need, the new school buildings can create an impactful experience in the community and generate hope. Proper educational facilities offer students a safer, healthier learning environment that would otherwise be out of reach.

“The new school buildings and facilities are invaluable in providing our 100 students with an upgraded learning environment, which will help motivate them to attend the classes more. This support will offer a better opportunity for students in our community and help develop rural education even further,” said Mr. Houy Phou, Prasat Primary School Director.

ISI GROUP is committed to creating positive changes through our expertise in building materials and construction. Our school rebuild program utilizes our Mekong Homes models to create long-lasting school buildings that keep students protected during harsh weather and extreme heat. Crafted to improve the quality of life in rural areas, we hope the newly built Prasat Primary School will have a significant impact on the students’ future prospects.

Together, through diverse and well-planned initiatives under the KMH Foundation, we will continue to foster better education and help create a path to a brighter, more promising future for students and communities in need of support.
