A Year in Photos - 2019

With many exciting accomplishments over 2019, it was another year of inspiration and innovation for ISI GROUP. We looked back through the last 12 months and compiled some of our favorite moments from the year.

January

The GCS team performed Robam Kangouk (Peacock Dance). It was a beautiful show of Cambodian traditional dance that our staff loved. Thanks to the GCS staff who worked hard and performed so well at the event.

February

KMH Foundation, as part of ISI GROUP, partnered with Preah Yukunthor High School. As part of this partnership, we have provided a new multi-purpose hall at the school, as well as sponsoring six E2STEM scholarship students for their senior high school and diploma education. On February 11th 2019, we officially opened the new building and met the inspiring scholarship students. During the opening of the new multipurpose hall, Mr. Kang Leng, ISI GROUP CEO, said, “We are happy to provide a place where learning and sharing of knowledge can happen for the future leaders of our country and society.”

This is the photo of International Women’s Day celebration at Raintree. Everyone enjoyed the celebration and valued the importance of women's role in ISI GROUP and in society. To learn more about how ISI GROUP celebrated women's day, read our blog about the day.

ISI GROUP team and our inspirational guest speaker, Mr. Nhar Ny (middle) at the Night of Inspiration. To learn more about this event, read our blog about it from earlier this year.

The ‘Let’s go to my province' campaign aimed to promote and inspire more people to visit the beautiful provinces in Cambodia. Thanks to ISI STEEL’s Marketing Team for initiating this great project and congratulations to all the winners.

Urbanland Asia celebrated their third Superstar Night in appreciation of their most inspiring staff by bringing back the Khmer Golden Era!

The photo above, taken by Chandara Kov at the Chinese House, is one of the top 25 photos of the Archi-walk Photography Challenge. Hosted by Urbanland Asia, HKA & Partners and Raintree, in collaboration with Khmer Architecture Tours, this challenge was designed to foster creativity and ignite passion towards our local and often underappreciated architecture and design. ISI GROUP CEO, Mr. Kang Leng and ISI PALM Man during the launch ISI PIPE's rebrand and celebrating ISI STEEL’s newly earned ISO certification! Receiving ISO 9001:2015, awarded by the International Organization for Standardization, acknowledges that ISI STEEL’s quality management systems meet international standards. Shout out all the music teachers at Soundskool! Imagine what people and society would be like without music. Chances are, you can’t because music has always been a part of life as you know it. It’s so integral to the human experience and yet taken so lightly at times. Thank you to all the teachers and employees at Soundskool!

Students at Chaeng Thom Primary School, Pailin Province, enjoyed new books and study materials donated by Global CamStar. Thanks, Global CamStar, for adding more color to these children’s lives.

Christmas @ Raintree: Siem Reap in the City! Raintree celebrated the holidays with the third edition of their Christmas festival. With a sparkling rooftop filled with food, pop-up gift stalls, live music and the book launch of "Siem Reap: A Deisgner's Perspective" by graphic designer Nataly Lee and architect Hok Kang this year's party was fun for the whole family.
